Apna Albion

Apna Albion is a new branch of the Baggies family, which was created and the brainchild of The Red Cow Pub & Grill! It was created on the 30th April 2017, and launched specifically to aim and encourage supported within the Punjabi community, but that doesn’t mean you have be Punjabi to join.
The Red Cow is a Baggies Pub, it showcases live games and the pub even offers free taxis to supporters going to the home games from the pub! So Bera Mahli and a few regular pub goers put their brain together to produce Apna Albion and encourage the support within the Punjabi community.
The group was launched at the Vaisakhi Mela in Handsworth, where it was well received with up to 400 local baggies fans registering interest. The supporters group was launched to help drive community and charity projects in and around West Bromwich. It could even help spawn future players, by helping increase interest in West Brom and building its fan base across the Midlands.
The first meeting was held at the Hawthorns on June 27th, with over 100 Baggies fans turning up. The meeting was pioneered by Steve Ghuman where the discussed the meaning and values of Apna Albion and what is expected to happen within the group over the next couple of years.
